50 Shades of Mommy Porn

The New York Times (among many other publications) refer to it as "mommy porn."
It causes Harry Potter-type hysteria...only X  Rated. 50 Shades of Grey is like... totally scandalous!

Currently in my unemployed, injured state (or as my uncle Brian likes to call it "non-traditionally employed"), these books filled my days with some form of entertainment beyond waiting a whole week for the next Game of Thrones episode.

Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele completely took over my life for basically a whole week as I devoured the trilogy, completely immersing myself into these erotica-filled novels. I am basically dating Christian Grey now...be jealous.
Big shout out to E.L. James for distracting me from the loss of endorphin's I am experiencing. Can't do much with a back injury. One after the other, had to keep reading, just had to keep going, even if it meant staying up till 4 in the morning finishing the book.

If you haven't divulged yet into the "mommy porn," let me just say there is an actual story-line, as well.
Basically, a 22-year-old college student falls for a billionaire whom expresses his issues of control (rooted from his childhood) in the bedroom.
This man, Christian Grey is an impossibly good-looking, overbearing, bit creepy character, as he likes to "punish" his girlfriend with a good spanking on days she doesn't exactly do as he says.

Is this book a little pornographic? Yes.
Disturbing at times? Yes.
Completely awkward when you know your parents are reading it at the same time as you? Yes.
Is it something you want to go discuss with your mother and her maajan friends? No.
Do you feel uncomfortable reading it regardless if your an adult? Yes.

After reading the three books I have to say I was devastated for a few reasons (but ill keep it PG-13):
1. That Christian Grey is in fact a FICTIONAL character
2. That I didn't get to read anymore, it was over.

Everyone is experiencing these books, whether they discuss it publicly or not. They are addictive. Pure entertainment on the page. Might not be the most educational book you have gotten your hands on...but it will for sure rile something up inside you.
